• Founded Wind Site Evaluation early 2008
• One of five founding members of Future Wind Partnership(1997), which subsequently became Airtricity.
• Chief Scientist of Airtricity, managed wind resource analysis.for sites from China to North America to Feb. 2008.
• Collaborated to produce the basis reference work “Identification of Wind energy Rich Sites best suited for Wind Farm Development” in March 1988 for the EC Valoren program and the Dept. of Energy.
• Worked for a brief period in California during the major boom in wind energy there in the early ‘80s.
• Conference chairperson at the biannual main event for the global wind energy industry comprising a week long conference and trade exhibition, EWEC97 (European Wind Energy Association) held in Dublin Castle sponsored by the E.S.B.
• Council member of European Wind Energy Association 1983-1994
• Hurley and Associates, wind technology consultants, 1980- 1996.
• Member of referee panel for Wind Engineering published by Multi-Science Publishing Co. ltd.
• Chairman of Energy Action Ltd., a registered charity thermally up-grading the homes of the needy elderly, with responsibility for funding from government agencies and business sector, 1989-1994
• Lecturer in the engineering faculty at the Dublin Institute of Technology during 1970's, 80's and 90's.
• M.Sc. awarded from Trinity College Dublin, Faculty of Engineering, thesis “ A Novel Vertical Axis sail Rotor” 1979.
• Council member of Solar Energy Society of Ireland 1977 to 1988.
